The mission of the Subcommittee on Sexworker Healthcare is to (1) develop a policy statement on the ethical and human rights principles upon which sexworker healthcare programs should be based; (2) provide sexworker organizations, their healthcare providers, applicable government agencies, and sexworker advocates with current information on the prevention and management of life-threatening infectious diseases in sexworkers (3) identify sexworker disease prevention/management challenges and develop educational materials to effectively address such challenges; and (4) develop and implement replicable demonstration projects that reduce obstacles to timely and appropriate healthcare for sexworkers. |
