The mission of the  Advisory Committee on Violence and Reproductive Healthcare is to develop demonstration projects and other resources that (1) facilitate timely and appropriate healthcare for the treatment of physical and mental injuries sustained, and for any concomitant disease effected through such injury; (2) provide a safe haven from further injury; (3)  reinforce the self-worth, dignity, and value of injured women’s lives; and (4) empower women to exercise choices that avoid situations in which they are subject to further injury.
