The mission of the Committee on Spirituality and Healthcare is to (1) develop arguments that validate the dignity and value of human life from humanist and communities of faith perspectives; (2) establish the dignity and value of human life as the primary principal upon which public policy is based; (3) encourage research on and other educational initiatives that contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between spirituality and health; and (4) encourage more advocacy by humanist organizations and communities of faith to improve universal access to essential drugs and medicines.
