Owen Cunningham
Wilson's Birthday |
|||||
Owen has also been recognized for his writing talents and was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the screenplay of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) which he co-wrote with his high-school buddy and long-time friend and collaborator, Wes Anderson However, Owen became best known for his successful comedic roles such as as Hansel in Zoolander (2001) and as John Beckwith in Wedding Crashers (2005). For years Owen was dubbed “the Butterscotch Stallion” in the tabloids for his string of amorous conquests. When love for Kate Hudson hit him hard in their well-publicized on-again off-again affair which allegedly ended due to Kate' s commitment issues, a source told In Touch Weekly, “Owen wants to get married and he proposed to Kate soon after they got back together. But she’s not ready.” Owen turned to drugs and hard partying after the final break-up with Kate and a few of his closer Frat Pack friends eventually became concerned about his growing depression which only became public after he attempted suicide on August 26, 2007. He was found by his brother Owen after consuming a cocktail of drugs and slashing his wrists for which he was subsequently hospitalized. To celebrate Owen's birthday, we suggest
going back to a happier time in 2001 when he played in Hansel in
Zoolander whose Hansel character won VH1's male model of
the year in the film. So what would be more appropriate than the
California's
Raley's Family of Fine Stores* popular breakfast recipe for a Hansel and
Griddle Cake which is a Jimmy Dean sausage wrapped in a pancake? |
